Charmed by the sound of the guitar from the childhood, Kim Jeoengyeol leaves for Germany after studying at the Korean national university of Arts. He had his formation of guitarist under Professor A. Krauser at Musik Hochschule Köln, obtaining the diplom K. A., then he graduated from Zuid-Nederlanse Hogeschool voor Muziek, obtaining the post graduate diploma under the direction of Prof. Hein Sanderink specially for the interpretation of Baroque music. Because of his affection for Baroque music, he often plays with the 8 stringed guitar for low-pitched tone.
Kim Jeoengyeol has also expended his musical world by the study of direction at Donizetti Accademy of Milano. He is a musician who is convinced that the musical expression comes also from the various personal experiences, which leads him to travel over 30 countries as well as high mountain climbing or rock-climbing. Besides Duo A&U and various activities as solist, actually he leads his own guitar ensemble.
클래식 기타리스트 김정열은 독일 Köln 음대(K.A과정)와 네덜란드Zuid-Nederlandse 음대(Postgraduate 바로 크음악분야)를 클래식기타로 졸업하고 Solist와 기타합 주단 리더, 그리고 바이올리니스트 김미영과 결성된 Duo A&U의 멤버로 활발한 연주 활동을 국내외에서 하고 있 으며 더 깊은 음악적 이해를 위하여 이태리 G.Donizetti 아카데미에서 지휘를 공부하였다.
바로크 음악에 대한 남다른 애정을 가진 기타리스트 김정열은 풍부한 저음 표현을 위해 특별히 제작된 8현 기타로 연주한다. 또한 유학시절기간 고유의 개성 있는 음악이 자기만의 체험에 서 유래됨을 깨닫고 새로운 경험을 찾아 고산 등정, 정글 체험, big wall 등반 등, 30여개 이상의 나라들을 여행하 며 얻게 된 내적변화를 음악으로 표현하고 있다.
